The exact commission rate depends on your category and seller agreement. For an accurate result, take the rate from your seller panel.
Commission Rates Observed in Real Sales
Commission tables online are mostly copied from one another. Instead of copying, we measured it: we collected the commission rate the marketplace itself wrote into the order record, across the completed orders of stores connected to marketplaces through the Fenikya platform.
How are the rates distributed?
Below is what percentage of order lines was charged at which rate. What stands out is this: there is no single "marketplace commission" — en sık görülen üç oran, satırların yalnızca %58 kadarını kapsıyor; kalan satırlar 18 ayrı orana dağılıyor.
Method. Kapsam: the May 2026 – August 2026 period. Son güncelleme: 17.08.2026.
What this data shows. It shows that commission isn't a single number and how wide the real-world range actually is. It makes concrete why assuming "about 20%" when calculating profit is risky.
What it does not show. This is a category-by-rate price list is not. The observations come from the product groups those particular sellers sell; they are not broad enough to represent every category. Commission varies by category, by your seller agreement, by campaign and by period. The only binding source for you is your own seller panel. This section updates automatically as the data grows.
How Is Marketplace Commission Calculated?
Marketplace commission is deducted from every sale at a rate that varies by category. The basic formula is:
Commission = Sale Price × Commission Rate (%)
But commission alone doesn't show your real profit. For The amount you receive you subtract commission, shipping and service fees from the sale price; for net profit you also subtract the product cost. The tool above calculates all of it at once.
Is VAT Added On Top of Commission Rates?
No. On marketplaces — Trendyol first among them — commission rates are applied VAT included; no VAT is added on top of the stated rate. In a category with 20% commission, for example, 20% of the sale amount is deducted as commission and that figure already includes VAT. (The VAT on your own product sale remains your own tax obligation.)
Where Do You Find Your Own Commission Rate?
We don't publish rates for Hepsiburada, N11, Shopier or Dolap on this page — because we have no measured data for those marketplaces, and publishing an unverified figure would lead you to build your profit calculation on the wrong number. Get your rate straight from the source:
- Trendyol: Seller Panel → Finance / Commission Rates — the current list by category.
- Hepsiburada: Seller Centre → Finance → Commission Rates.
- N11: My Store → Commission Rates.
- Shopier, Dolap and others: The deduction may be split into commission plus a transaction fee; add the two together and enter them as a single rate in the tool.
Once you know the rate, just type it into the field above; the calculation works independently of the marketplace.
Deductions Beyond Commission
Your net profit is shaped not only by commission but by additional costs:
- Shipping cost: Your negotiated shipping fee; in free-shipping campaigns the cost may fall on you. You can estimate shipping cost with the desi calculator.
- Service / transaction fee: A fixed or proportional fee that may be charged per order.
- Campaign contributions: In some campaigns the extra discount is borne by the seller.
- Returns: Commission is refunded on a returned order, but the shipping cost usually stays with the seller.
How Is Net Profit Calculated? (Example)
For a product you sell at 200 TL with 20% commission:
- Sale price: 200 TL
- Commission (20%, VAT included): −40 TL
- Shipping: −35 TL
- Product cost: −80 TL
- Net profit: ~45 TL
If you sold the same product at the highest rate we observed (30%), commission rises to −₺60 and net profit falls to ₺25. Knowing your exact rate can decide your entire margin.

Commission-Free Selling: Your Own Site
Marketplace commission takes a steady cut of every sale. The way to remove that burden entirely is to sell on your own e-commerce site — on your own site you pay no commission and the customer data stays with you. The most profitable model is multi-channel: use marketplaces for reach and move a meaningful share of sales to your own commission-free site. We compared the two models in our Your Own Site or a Marketplace? article.
